ICELAND – A LOST VENDING MACHINE

Just a very small blog. For a small green hut in a very special place.

Looking for a vending machine in the middle of knowhere? Solar powered in a place where there isn’t even a lot of sun? Well, we found one in Iceland, up in the north. Somewhere halfway on route #94, between Eglisstadir and Borgarfjordur Eystri, you come across a small green hut with two vending machines, one with drinks and one with candy. It is owned by Kristján A. Kristmundsson, entrepreneur and interesting local character from Egilsstaðir.

The hut is a high-tech building and the machines are solar and wind powered. You can sit outside at the cosy table and chairs to enjoy the beautiful view. Reading all the messages on the wall of the hut, it seems a lot of guests already did!

So, stop for a while at this special place and enjoy a fresh cola!
